Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice?
Well that’s easy- 2 weeks with an organized tour for sure as the idea of being on a cruise, out on the sea, is totally unappealing to me. Especially when you hear about the times people become sick with some dreaded virus that contaminates the entire ship. In 1985 I took a 2 week tour of Israel with a “singles” group- the tour guide was an Israeli who took us throughout the country-all over, it was wonderful. I did meet a guy on the tour which made for a great time and a lot of laughs. Like many summer romances it ended once the plane landed at JFK.
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
I guess most children like swinging, that feeling of flying in the air, back and forth. The sight of a swing does little to excite me these days, I prefer keeping my feet on the ground. This photo was taken at my grandparent’s summer home, my cousin, always the athletic one, sitting on the bar of the swingset, while I remained on the ground, pocketbook in hand…. ?????? I guess it’s all about the accessories- even when I was 6!!
What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)
To appreciate the things around me and not take them for granted, and not to be afraid to tell someone how much you enjoy their company, love them, or think they are awesome. No point in waiting until it is time for a eulogy.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
I attended a workshop in school this week in which the presenter spoke about inspiring children by creating an atmosphere of positivity in the classroom among their classmates. Building those relationships, looking for the good in one another and sharing their positive thoughts about one another, with each other.
