Oh I am sad to see it go…but what a wonderful month it has been. I love the summer, no matter how hot. August included trips to the beach, sitting on the patio of my favorite garden in Riverdale NY, trips to two museums, a day in Ny’s Greenwich Village and capturing my first ever Hummingbird in a photo.

I’m pretty sure if we lived as near the beach as you, we’d mind the hot weather a lot less, though I do get very easily torched by the sun while Garry can just sit there, turn very black, and smile. I lack melanin.

I am completely covered up- long sleeve rash guard and legs covered too- and under the umbrella all day! I’m only in the sun to walk down and stand by the ocean for a few minutes! It’s surprising how being in the shade makes such a difference

Goodbye August! Depending on where you live, the warmth of summer can linger. At least we have a few more days of summer. Fall is coming! Great photos. Wow, your first hummingbird photo.

In past years summer does hang around much longer, and Fall has become very short. But it’s back to school and my days will no longer be free!
