It would surprise me, too! When I get to my Mississippi photo of a heron by a fishing area, wharves and all, I will tell you it lifted up within feet of me, huge! I was looking at the sun almost (1/2 hour to go) getting ready to set. Didn’t even see it until he started to fly! My photo captured him in the foreground and as he flew towards the sun he looked like a skeleton or pteradactyl! 😊 🌞
