I don’t often take photos of people with them being unaware, it just feels wrong to me to invade someone’s private space without them knowing. In this case, this couple was actually doing a photo shoot with a professional photographer, so I too captured the moment alongside him with this challenge in mind. Taken overlooking the Hudson River in NY.

I know people who do “street photography” and capture strangers, but it isn’t for me either. Not even when I’m a tourist in a strange city.

I follow someone on Instagram who does marvelous street portraits- mostly in black and white, but I find it hard myself. I do have a few, taken in NYC where everyone seems anonymous and no one seems to care anyway
