So this is a world-wide phenomena? Not so comforting, really. I see people (and kids) doing that all the time around here. While walking on a sidewalk, cycling on the road, driving a car… almost seems like the human race is undergoing some evolution to exclude even survival instinct.
It is a sad statement on what many have become- incapable of just sitting, taking in their surroundings, getting lost in thought or using their imagination
It makes me so upset to see this. I went hiking a few months ago and there was a man on his phone doing what they’re doing above and his son following behind him with his eyes glued to an iPad. An iPad on a hiking trip? What has this world come to? No one is connected with one another anymore. It’s a sad, sad time.

Sitting around a lovely pond surrounded by trees- I would like to think maybe they were looking up info about the park. Maybe not!
