Summer Hands
In order to get onto the Jersey Shore beaches, you need to pay and wear a wrist band to show you have paid. There are local beach patrol people who come around to check people have their wristbands on. There are different designs every day. Here are two of them.

Been doing it my whole life but it still makes me crazy that we have to pay to get onto what should be a free beach.

The Long Island beaches charge also- or they charge for parking. I just took it as a given when we started going. Interesting it is not the same charge everywhere- Avon charges more than Bradley and Ocean Grove!

Age has its advantages. Belmar season passes for 62 and older is 15.00. Pretty good deal considering. After going twice you’re ahead of the game.
