As I walked around a local pond last week, it was not cold enough to have frozen over, but ice had formed along the edges of the pond making what I thought was a pretty pattern as it trapped some of the rocks and branches within the pond.

I really try to look all around me when I am at the pond- and I just loved the design the ice made – just had to capture it! So glad you liked it too!

It was amazing, such a unique and unexpected way it froze. Like an “echo” of the water pattern or ” frozen ripples.”

well maybe this is just because I came from “what pegman saw” and I have been looking at maps – but the ice looks like a contour map.
