What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?
Hard to pinpoint a favorite but I do love the smell of pine trees and I love the smell of baking bread. Neither conjures up a memory they are both just “good smells” to me.
What type of pet do you have or want to have?
We had 2 Cocker Spaniels from 1996 until 2012- both lived to a very old age-and emotionally I am not ready to open my heart again to another dog. Maybe someday – but for right now I am enjoying the freedom that comes with not being tied down to the house and a set time to get home.

Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
I am usually early but I am learning to get to where I need to be on time rather than waiting around because I am early. I grew up with the mentality that you had to be at an appointment 15 minutes early, but as I have grown older I no longer do that. I am usually kept waiting and getting there early just makes the wait longer. I loathe being late- it is just not in my DNA.
For recharging, would you rather meditate, swim, walk, listen to music, write, read, yoga, qigong other?
My first choice is always to go for a walk in nature- to my favorite local park and look at the beauty around me and the birds.

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Grateful everyday and thankful for the friends I have that offered support and feedback when things got challenging in school last week.

Your dogs look so peaceful in the picture. I love dogs, had them most of my life but feel now is the time to travel or go visit grandchildren or my Mom. Pets require love and attention and I pour these out liberally to my family, Lisa.
I love watching birds and walking around, not always in nature but the outdoors has so much to offer in views and inspiration. 🙂

Just being outdoors is invigorating and allows me to forget whatever is going on “indoors” ! 🙂

The smell of freshly baked bread is a comfort smell. That made me remember the smell in my grandmother’s house. She was always making fresh pasta by hand and that smell is indescribable, yet unforgettable.

Not bread, but pasta. Spaghetti and home made ravioli were two I remember!

Oh, what stories we could tell. Actually only one I remember that has to do with ravioli. My grandmother made the dough also from scratch and would lay it out on a big flat pan to dry. Since she had no real counter space in their one bedroom “railroad” flat in Brooklyn, she would place it under the bed!

oh that is funny- you had to make do with what space you had! Which section of Brooklyn?

Williamsburg. I’m going to check it out on Google maps and see if it’s changed.

Williamsburg is where my husband was born. 🙂 The neighborhood has undergone a real revival- very hip and expensive to live there now! My husband lived on Keap Street and relatives on South 9th

Wow. My grandparent’s place is still there but the neighborhood has definitely changed. Next door looks to have been converted into a high rise and across the street looks like a school. It’s a brick building with grass and a tall chain link fence where walkup apartments used to be.

It’s great that you have that park near enough to get there easily. I also was raised to be early and I find it hard to be on time. It feels late, but no one else is ever on time, my being early is something REALLY early 🙂

It was so ingrained in me it literally makes me physically uncomfortable if I am late.

I agree with you… a walk is a wonderful idea… it helps when we are sad and it is great to walk when we are happy, so we can share our joy with mother nature or the people we met :o)

Oh I know how I got that way… my mother was stickler for being on time and it was ingrained in me at a very young age. That and I think I am just “wired” that way! 🙂
My Sammy & Max lived to 19 and 17- both rescues 🙂
