Only in New York City- A man and his rats
This little girl was not put off at all by them, deciding to pet them
I love how the man smiled when another little girl came over to take her turn. Happy someone besides just him loves his pet rats too.

Rats are feared and hated because of their know connection to disease and in particular, the Black Plagues of the 14th century. But they are actually really smart and make good pets, if you like rodents — and obviously people do because there are plenty of hamsters and guinea pigs living as pets 🙂 Really interesting street photography.

They are very smart, I think this man said his had been living in a lab and he took them so they wouldn’t be killed. Good guy

My son had a pet rat who went in his pocket and loved when Jamie would ride his bike and would peek out of his pocket. My son had a very nice male fourth grade teacher who had him bring his rat named Argo to school and it was cool. The kids called Jamie’s rat the “roving expert.” 🙂

Oh man, I love your post for so many reasons. His hand (and rings) remind me of https://sddpblog.wordpress.com/ a blog I really like reading!! And I love that this guy has his roller blades on. AND, his pets remind me of the two I had as a kid, a white one and a black and white one. Great story!
