Day Two: The Seven Day Nature Challenge

Marilyn over at Serendipity, a wonderful photographer and blogger whom I have learned so much from, has invited me to participate in The Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge. To take part in the challenge I’m supposed to post one photo (or more)per day for seven days. The subject can be anything from the natural world. I can nominate someone each day to participate, and today I am happy to invite Lois a wonderful friend who writes a blog called on pets and prisonersto join in the challenge.

I love taking walks in nature preserves in my area in New Jersey, and Autumn is a wonderful time to do so and take in the changing foliage. This past year the leaves changed very late, not displaying their usual array of beautiful colors. On a very warm day in early November I did find them changing as I walked along, and here they are.012

and a deer I happened upon!

  1. Thanks for liking my recent post, Travel theme: Poetry. I love your photos and your love of nature. The deer are sublime – I have always loved them – and just saw a whole lot of them on the small island off Hiroshima called Miyajima where they happily stroll amongst tourists, usually hoping for food of course.

  2. Wow, what a great collection. We have deer. I know we have deer. We have deer tracks and you have to be careful not to hit them. Garry sees them out the back in the clearing in the woods but I have NEVER gotten a shot of them. Not even close.

And autumn is the only thing that makes dealing with our weather worth the effort.

    Beautiful work. Just beautiful.

    • I spotted this one with a Buck not too far from me, they just stood looking right at me! I think we were all stunned 🙂 Fall is beautiful- especially on a day like that when it was a perfect 75 degrees!

Thanks for stopping by-Would love to hear what you think!
