I spotted these sparrows in a bush and marveled at how many there were-blending in so well with the branches.
Can you find them?

Great photo … they hide so well, much like the female cardinals in the nearby shrub this morning. I didn’t realize they were there until I was curious about my cat’s intent focus on the shrub. They sit in the shrub and mock him .. knowing they are safe from him there.

Thanks so much. That’s funny that your cat knows first !

I almost posted a photo of many birds in a tree, but none stood out. Some were robin’s but could not tell they had red breasts, too. Just couldn’t see them. You have imagination and showed where the birds were. What creative vision you have! 🙂

Thank you. The bush was even bigger and there were more but I needed to zoom in to see them!

We have a forsythia thicket along our back fence and in the winter, dozens of birds of various species hang out there. I think this makes them safe from predators.

I was thinking that- they are undercover and shielded somewhat from the wind

I think they were friends- there were even more of them but would not fit in the frame of the photo!

They do blend in well! I only saw four at first.

There may be one in the lower left corner, but when I enlarged it I think it was a branch. 😀
