such days are special… Ialways wonder how much it still hurts and why it always feels like yesterday… probably the time can’t fix all things. It’s a great photo of Max and I think it shows why we love dogs… because they are dogs :o)

That is right. They are such a major part of our lives, there with us through all, especially when it is 17 years. I think we feel the loss so profoundly because of the unspoken bond that exists, the pure love- different from what we have with people

Yes, those eyes- always so sad looking because of his cherry eyes- his 3rd eyelid was exposed, he had 2 surgeries but they kept popping out so the vet said to leave them alone- they didn;t affect his vision
